About

I am a Ph.D student in the Department of Computer Science at the the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I am advised by Prof. Xiangyao Yu. Prior to this, I obtained my Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Beomseok Nam in 2020, and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science Engineering and Business Administration in 2018, all from Sungkyunkwan University.

Research Interests

I am broadly interested in data systems, with a focus on modern system architectures such as time-series databases and disaggregated databases. My research primarily centers on core database techniques in transaction processing including indexing and concurrency control, as well as HW-SW co-design for next-generation data systems leveraging emerging technologies such as RDMA, SmartNIC, CXL memory, and byte-addressable storage.
